Anybody out there?! 100 Jahre Radio in Deutschland, 2020

The first live radio broadcast in Germany happened on December 22, 1920, from Königs Wusterhausen. This was three years before official radio programs started. In 2020, this 100-year milestone inspired reflections on "100 Years of Radio." What Radio Represents Radio connects one source to many listeners and creates direct contact with the public. Long before today’s mobile networks, it created a shared audio space where people could communicate instantly—no matter where they were. This space felt magical: "Anybody out there?"
